About the Author

She is the (not-so-wicked-but-she-has-her-moments) stepmother to their two children, the adoring mistress of three spoiled dogs, the food purveyor to eleven hungry goldfish, and the comic foil for one rather impertinent house rabbit who thinks he rules the roost.

Lovely

I'm not going to break any new ground here with this review, but I had to weigh in nevertheless to say that this was a great read, with engaging characters, written in clear, crisp, clever prose with doses of humor, tenderness, realism and everything you could want in a novel. I will be looking for other work by this author. I hope my five stars brings her back to a perfect "score" because she absolutely deserves it.

Plan B but better

What do I love about this book? Well, everything actually. I love how Maggie, the heroine, has a plan for her life and how she doesn't let a wild night stand in her way of her goals. However, Tom is so taken by her that he steps right into her plan and makes it a reality. I also really like how the reader gets to see an alternate reality of Margaret Ethridge's book Contentment. There's actually a conversation which happens here in Commitment which also takes place in Contentment. That was really cool. I like it how authors widen their worlds, so to speak, so that we get to see an event from a different perspective. I've come to really enjoy Margaret Ethridge's books. I'm not related to her, nor did she ask me to do this. I just think she is really a gifted writer, and I appreciate that she's put this book out here for the world to enjoy.

A story you will love

I had been waiting to read this book for over a year.As soon as I got the chance to I read it and somehow the magic the book had got lost.I wasnt expecting a two person point of view even though in the end I found I welcomed it.
It was slow and fast at the same time. I know it doesnt make sence so I will explain.It was fast and easy meaning that I had not realised how the time had passed from the moment I started the book until I finish it.It was slow because Maggie dont say the words I want a baby until we have read about 40% of the book. In this case that's ok since Maggie and Tom did not know the other well even though the knew each other for 15 years and it would be a little weird if the decided to have a baby together that way.So in that 40 % they develop a better relationship and learnt a few things for each other and the reader gets to know him better.
I liked the book.The characters, especially Fred, the story and everything about it.
So 5 stars for the playboy who tries to convince the girl who knew prince charming doesnt exist and still wanted him to give a chance to him and find their Happily Ever After.
